Aterriza only uses what's strictly necessary to run the service. That's why you don't see a cookie banner: strictly necessary storage doesn't require consent under the Spanish LSSI (art. 22.2) and the ePrivacy Directive.
Cookies we use
Session cookie (better-auth.session_token) — keeps you logged in. First-party, expires after 30 days of inactivity or when you log out.
Session cache cookie (better-auth.session_data) — speeds up page loads by caching your session for 5 minutes. First-party.
Storage in your browser
Your sound on/off preference and audio settings are saved in your browser's local storage so the app works smoothly.
Lessons you finish while offline — or as a guest, before creating an account — wait in local storage until they reach our server, and are removed as soon as they're saved. Your progress itself is kept on our server, never on the device.
What we don't use
No advertising cookies, no third-party trackers, no Google Analytics.
We do count visits to our public pages, but without cookies and without storing or reading anything on your device: only the page, the website that linked to it and whether it was a phone or a computer. That's why it needs no consent banner. If your browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track, your visit isn't counted at all.
